Game Show Idea. I call it: Ramshackle

Basic Format:

There are three contestants. Set is set up a bit like a cross between the Remote Control set and the Pointless set, with a big screen, but in an untidy basement, to give the impression that the show has been hastily put together, hence the name “Ramshackle.” The contestants stand as there’s no elimination rounds.

Contestants are given a choice of three straight-forward categories, such as “Sports,” “Game Shows,” “Animation,” “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic,” “Music” or the like. Questions in Round 1 are worth anywhere between $100 and $1,000. Questions in Round 2 are worth anywhere between $200 and $2,000. (In multiples of $5) However, the value is not revealed until the category is picked, and the value does NOT correlate to the difficulty of the question. You could have a $135 question about string theory, followed by a question worth $975 that is basically “What is two plus two?” As many questions as possible are asked per round. After the end of round two, there is a final lightning round. 63 seconds on the clock, $500 per correct answer. The person with the most cash at the end of the lightning round wins the game and goes on to the bonus round, the 85-Second Ten Question Blitz. The winner gets 85 seconds to answer ten questions correctly. It’s similar to the lightning round, just a bit harder.

Question format:

“Name a ___________” Questions: Straight-forward, you just need to name something that fits the rest of the question. It’s not a survey question, you just need to name one. Used in main game and lightning round, not the ten-question blitz.

“Standard Trivia” Questions: Just a trivia question. Used in all rounds.

“Thing 1, Thing 2, or Thing 3” Questions: The host reads off three items, one of which is the correct answer. Used in main game and lightning round, not the ten-question blitz.

So the latest Jimquisition was called “Desensitized to Violence,” which was made in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings. In it, he questions why people keep blaming video games for “desensitizing gamers to violence.” However, he shows footage of the infamous Budd Dwyer suicide as an example of how gamers, or anyone, are NOT desensitized to real violence. I’ve seen this footage twice now…. it’s still disturbing to me. If you don’t want to watch that certain part, when it hits 1:20, skip to 1:49. Hell, even I do it on replays of this episode. It’s actually pretty much Jim’s most powerful episode, though. Real violence is disturbing. Video game violence or any other form of fantasy violence isn’t, for the most part.

Do watch the episode, but like I said, if you don’t want to see the footage, when 1:20 hits, skip to 1:49. 1:50 if you have to.

The mother cat kept licking the kittens, hoping it would revive them. According to the family that adopted the stray cat, on the morning of the 11th when they heard the cat’s tragic cries, they rushed downstairs to discover this stray cat’s four kittens abused to death, and even placed in front of the mother cat. The kittens’ bodies were covered with bullet holes, with blood all over. One of the kittens had its neck tied with a rope and elongated, its chest cut open, heart exposed, while the other three kittens’ heads were stepped on.
